Attending a kids birthday party today. IDK... I tried on a couple outfits and nothing felt ME. I have been thinking about Angie's gilet for the last 2-3 weeks. I love military inspired jackets, and the double breast nature of her gilet gives me a similar vibe.
Suddenly I realized: I want wine red lips, simple eyeshadow, boho, and cute. Like 2015. Started throwing things on.
Quite pleased with how it all turned out.
Glad I didn't donate this green jacket. It felt a bit dated and yet, I really love it. A size smaller than I normally wear but I think it works. The peplum is darling, and the shoulder epaulets with fringe make my heart sing.
Added a handknit shawl/scarf for extra texture, color and warmth. Bringing along a pair of sneakers; hostess mom and I will likely walk to the park with the kids. These flats are comfy but sneakers are always easier.
Came down with a cracked tooth couple weeks ago, so this week I had prep work done for a crown. The temporary crown keeps popping off (It's a shallow crown, and the tooth isn't ground down super far, so maybe that's why.) That means some nerve pain and risking swallowing the temp. Last night I had to call dentist after hours and get temporary filling/crown adhesive from drugstore. The crown is still coming off despite it. So, taking the temp adhesive with me in case it comes off at the party. I have an appointment Monday morning, to see if my dentist can look at things. Fun times :p
Lipstick: Maybelline Divine Wine
Blush: Nars Taos (disc)
Eyeshadow: Too Faced Chocolate Bar (disc) peach and chocolate/bronze shades layered over several shades of Colourpop Wild Child palette because I didn't like how warm Wild Child was looking/feeling.
