I'm wearing an outfit inspired by today's blog ensemble today, and thought it would be fun to compare and contrast it with another similar outfit featuring the same skirt from earlier this week.
#1 is today's outfit. I don't actually own any warm-weather cropped tops (I do have cropped sweaters) but this Uniqlo x Liberty linen blouse has the same kind of boxy, swingy feel as the tops Angie mentions in the blog post. It's a little boxier IRL than in this photo, see the photo in the find for the real shape. I paired it with my black denim skirt, which has been a real workhorse this summer. (I would have gone with a midi tube skirt as in the blog post but honestly it's too hot and humid for that today). My flats are my Vionic gladiators, which have maybe a 1/2" heel height.
#2 is another outfit with the same skirt, but with more conventional "leg-lengthening" items - a semi-tucked slim, sleeveless blouse and 3" chunky platform sandals.
So.... it's interesting. I don't actually feel like my legs look so much longer in #2, despite the fact that in #1 I have a boxy top, and lots of horizontal lines. What do you think? (To be fair, though, I do have very long legs for my height, so leg lengthening is not a thing I really worry about.)
