WIW 1/9: Gray and black and leather and snake

This outfit incorporates an old favorite blouse, a jacket that was in the swap pile but has been given a reprieve, and the fab leather peplum top that Una was nice enough to pass on to me during the NAS!

Watercolor print silk blouse: Halogen
Ponte knit blazer: Halogen
Leather tank: Halogen
Black pants: Ann Taylor
"Snake" pumps: Jessica Simpson
Blue bag: B Makowsky via DSW

I think it looks better with the jacket because I'm not 100% happy with where the hem of the leather top hits me when wearing pants. Which is fine because I am inclined to leave the leather top mostly covered up at the office anyway! LOL What do you all think?

I love this! Wearing a leather tank to the office seems so...subversive. With the jacket on it becomes totally appropriate office wear! Then you can take the jacket off for a night out on the town after work!

I like the leather tank, too, and have one that looks identical (does it have a zipper back?) and Natalie summed it up perfectly. Love the blue bag with everything, too.

Angie, I think these pants are a little short, darn it! I got the petite and had them let down as far as I could, but I think they're still short with these shoes. I noticed it as I passed the reflective windows on my way in to work!

Darn it.

And Vicki, yes -- this is the zip-back leather peplum! It's leather in front and knit in back -- is that the one you have?

Most amazing use of peplum I've seen in a while. Peplum and pussy sounds conventional; with pants, far more exciting! and then make that leather and it is TDF!

Natalie's right --- subversive in the best possible way.

Totally agreeing woth Manidipa here ... You are the winner of the Most Amazing Use of Peplum Award.
.... and everytime I see you on this top, I remember that I must get this top our of the cavernous depths of Little Zap's closet, where my clothes dissappear...
( In all honesty, I gave it to her but the kidnap story sounds more dramatic).

Love the jacket! There is something so orderly and calming about rows of buttons. The bag is a lovely contrast to the gray. NICE.

Actually I love it without the jacket for maximum impact, but totally understand that with the jacket is more office appropriate. Leather and snake - pretty tempting!

I actually love the top with pants and prefer it that way! I don't notice anything bad about where it hits. IKWYM about a leather tank at the office, though.

The leather peeking out from under your jacket is sublime as is pairing the leather peplum with a soft bow blouse. Love
