A couple more WIW's.. both casual work.
#1. It was going to be a very wet day, and I knew I'd be walking outside for quite a bit of it... a couple of meetings (with peers, no one I need to impress :), then to meet a colleague for supper, then to a public lecture (as part of a work event) so I surrendered to my rubber boots, and designed my outfit around them. Skinny jeans, Gap BF top, Target vest. I'd say that these jeans are essential, the top "regular" (not statement, yet it has bicycles all over it, so certainly a bit more unusual than essential" pulled together with a statement vest. Would you say I got that right?
#2. Had to work all day (Sat) at a cycling summit, at which I was giving a presentation. So wanted to be casual, yet professional. Now this outfit to me, is made up of essentials... white jeans,a denim shirt, and black booties. Yet those pieces are updated essentials. I also threw in a statement belt, and ring. To my eye, this kept it looking (and feeling) great, not frumpy or dated. What do YOU think?
As always, comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated!
