WIW 14 06 16. Dress with leggings

I've had this dresss for a couple of years now, and I still love it. It's so comfortable! Went for flat shoes today because I had a couple of meetings that required walking to. And the leggings because it was NOT warm. Wore my white leather jacket as a jacket. Forgot to get pic :(.

Thoughts? This may not be "current" but I feel like it's me. Comfortable, fits well, and I love the asymmetry.

You look beautiful. Such a great color for you! Have you tried this with a sandal that shows more of your foot? I think I might like that look. Yes I know you had lots of walking to do today...maybe for another day.

I think I would like this better with longer leggings or harem pants! It looks good now but I think a longer under layer would look good too.

Full disclosure: I used to like leggings and jeggings but have gradually developed a poison eye for them. So, naturally I'm not going to like the leggings with the dress! I think that the dress itself is great! And if you are going to wear leggings then I think they need to be longer because the
Cropped length is "fighting" with the asymmetric lines of the dress. My eyes don't know where to look or land when I view your pic with the cropped leggings and asymmetrical lines. But, like I said - I love the dress!

I have to agree about the longer leggings. But I think the dress looks great on you.

Ha ha Im the opposite to Marley, I LOVE leggings and dresses together! I think this is current, we have a couple of labels here that make dresses and tunics just like this. I would prefer a full length legging and (it is winter here) ankle boots.

Having said that, the proportions work fine to my eye, the longer legging is really just my personal preference. This is quite an arty look.

Love the dress and you look great in it. Agree that a longer legging would look better (maybe even just down to where your calves start to taper in). And I like the look of dresses and leggings together.

Had to look, given your title, and I like the outfit. The colors are great on you, the dress is super fab, and I like the way you added leggings and shoes to suit the day's needs. I was expecting longer leggings, and I think I might prefer a more open shoe with the shorter ones. I also see Marley's point about the proximity of the two hemlines--leggings and dress. Still, I am inspired, because I have been considering ways to wear dresses in the summer that don't involve stockings--but I'm not crazy about baring my legs, either, for work. This outfit has an arty vibe that seems timeless to me.

Vote keep just as the are the focus for me is the top dress. The leggins length compliment the dress. I love the bit of exposed skin as a nod to summer and any longer it would scream fall/winter. And it seems like you already feel more like you as they are. YLF

I like it as is too but I also think I would like it better with longer leggings. Because then it looks more intentional IMO. Nice shoes and they look super comfy

The dress is timeless because it is that arty-eclectic look. You can keep and enjoy it for years! I really like it on you with your new hair. I will leave the legging discussion to better minds because I am hopeless about leggings and can't figure tunics out at all.

Thanks Suz, and everyone else who commented. Given summer is trying hard to get here, I suspect this dress will next be worn with bare legs. And maybe I'll try the longer leggings in the fall. I've never tried it with long leggings and booties as Deborah suggested - will have to keep that in mind too!
