WIW 14 03 28. Chambray shirt!

Time to start posting WIW's again!

Not sure if any of you remember, but a while ago I posted looking for recommendations for a chambray shirt. Well, I ordered several, from various places, and ended up with this one, $6 from Old Navy. By far the best fit of all of them - I was pretty pleased with that!

I also realized I had not worn my (gasp!) cords this winter. I have NO idea why, I love these. They are so comfortable!

So here is my outfit of the day... black cords, slipper flats (as they fit in my briefcase easily and I was in training outside the office all day), and the new chambray shirt. To bookend my hair, and add some interest, I chose my zebra belt rather than just a black one. With the collared shirt and belt I chose to keep jewellery simple, just a black watch and silver/black earrings.

What do you think? Does it work? Any and all suggestions welcome!

Lovely! I love the zebra print belt with this outfit. Adds the extra but of fun. The shirt is a nice fluid fit. Great find!

Perfect outfit! The touch of the belt really pulls it together.

I think I eyed that chambray shirt at ON as well. Ended up with a similar style but slightly darker fabric with a subtle shadow stripe.

This is great and that shirt was a steal! I was laughing to myself while reading your post. I just concluded a chambray shirt hunt myself. I recently ordered every style and wash available at Old Navy. When I went to the store to return all but one of them, the clerk said, "Wow, you really love your chambray shirts, don't you?"

I have this same shirt and am debating whether or not to keep it -- I love the weight and color, It looks terrific on you: a nice balance between polish and drape.

No luck at Gap. My iPad is having trouble with their site. I'll go back to Plan A, which is to buy a chambray shirt in a bricks and mortar shop, one of my style goals this season.

I love the outfit which is simple but chic. As Suz already noted, the zebra belt looks great with your hair. I don't know why people don't wear cords more. When they fit as well as yours, they look fine and are so much warmer than jeans. I'm wearing some now.
