I was at home all day, watching the Olympics (YAY CANADA!!) and hanging out with my DD's, who had a day off school. So I was in my Lululemon's :). Now heading out to get my hair cut, so a perfect opportunity to try Angie's latest formula.

White shirt - Calvin Klein, picked up at Costco for a whopping $20.
Gap BF jeans

And a couple of sweaters. I decided on the blue one - the band on the black made the sweater seem to boxy for my shape, imho. What do you think? Sometimes I wonder if I should just forget banded sweaters... sigh. Although they do faux tuck.

Anyhoo, thoughts? how did I do?

The cobalt is very pretty on you! The black looks like it has a bit of sparkle. My magpie is cooing

Oh man, I was so worried that the Mens' game today was going to be the reverse of the Womens' gold medal game!

I like them both, actually. With the black one I might tuck the top in, just because the band seems to make it bunch a little bit.

Good point Suz - maybe this issue is wearing the shirt like this, more than the band on the sweater.

You nailed it!! Two great interpretations of the look - you've inspired me to start looking for a white shirt (got the BFs and sweater so nearly there).

I love the outfit with the blue! The one with the black sweater is nice too, but I wonder how it would look with a dressier shoe. I feel like, with the black and sparkles and the crisp white shirt, the top is several steps dressier than the bottom, so I could see different shoes pulling everything together.

maybe i should join costco. i don't need a gallon of tomato sauce or 60 rolls of TP, but i could use some of the great fashion basics!
both of these versions are great. i don't think the black sweater makes you look boxy, i actually think it helps define your waist.

Both sweaters look great, but I do get Suz's point about the minor bunching of your shirt. YLF!

I prefer the blue on you, ElizabethP. It seems softer and more personable, just like I imagine you to be (projection, anyone? Tehehehe).

I do like the other outfit though, the black top, 'dirtied/muddied' jeans (not sure of the actual term) and black boots have a tough edge. I like a bit of juxtaposition in an outfit and I think the sparkly accents on the jumper work really well!
