Hi folks! A few more work outfits from me, as I try to figure myself out. As always, any input on anything is appreciated.

My thoughts:
I like #1. However, at the end of the day, I couldn't wait to get changed... between the structured shirt, structured jacket....
I really like #2... this felt comfortable on me. Bit of a lightbulb moment - I am more comfortable in drapy fabrics.
#3. Felt okay, but I feel it looks a bit frumpy. Maybe this isn't the best cardigan shape for me?
#4. Something comfy for my Book Club evening

Gotta love a woman in a book club!

You have an amazing sense of colors that really sing on you --- this is your style secret weapon.

1. I'm loving everything but the belt. I like the idea of the dramatic belt, but something in the scale and perhaps the position of the belt seems to overpower the whole of the outfit a bit IMHO. Maybe a strong, but simple belt? Or one worn a little higher? Just a though.

2. I love you in drapey fabrics, too, particularly when they're sapphire!

3. Try srunching the sleeves, and folding the cuffs over the top of the sweater?

4. Color Queen again! Knits with body are a great choice for you! They're a nice balance of soft/structure.

You look so good in #1 I think you need to look for a jacket with stretch & drape to solve the trussed up feeling. What about the blouse in #2 without a belt with the jacket from #1?

It's great to note your feelings about each outfit as you are doing here. One of our members, Jayne, coined the term "happiness factor" and used it as her guide to revising her wardrobe -- she's now in wardrobe nirvana, through a process of elimination (and then re-stocking with things that increased the happiness factor.)

You look amazing in that sapphire blue!

Caro, I actually found a great knit jacket at BR a week or so ago, just waiting to use a 40% off coupon. I do think I'd find that more to my liking - too bad, this one is new - wish I'd clued into that earlier! Oh well, I"m sure this will still get use. Perhaps more as an outside jacket than a wear all day jacket. And I'll definitely try that top with the jacket at some point.

Suz... I'm a big believer in the happiness factor! In fact, it was Angie's' post on that that made me come back to this site. Made me realize people here were going to be about more than just "being in style".

Hi Elizabeth. The blue looks good on you. I know Carol Tuttle typed you as a Type 4, but the black with white and red lipstick looks a little harsh to my eye. Have you tried draping yourself in the other types' colours just for fun and to see what it looks like? Your liking for drapy fabrics seems to hint towards Type 2 in particular, but it would be valuable to try out all the types.

[for those who are not aware, Elizabeth and I both went through a makeover program called Dressing Your Truth. There are four "types" in the program that you can be, and the colours for each roughly correspond thus: Type 1 = spring (warm and light), Type 2 = summer (cool and light), Type 3 = autumn (warm and deep), Type 4 = winter (warm and deep)]

Hey Molly,
No, there' no doubt I'm a T4. Carol didn't type me, it was pretty evident from the descriptions. Although I did take my time making sure, and certainly considered the others... definitely have them all in me. But I wasn't surprised... T2 colours make me look dead, and while I love the T3 colours, they don't do anything for me either. And no way am I a 1! My liking for drapy fabrics isn't really drapy in T2 terms, I just like a bit of "give". Case in point... that drapy blue shirt... is actually from the DYT T4 store!

And if you think I look a bit harsh in white - you'd be scared to see what I look like in cream :). I suspect that's more the horrendous lighting I take these pics by - it's actually a pretty good colour on me. Somebody else mentioned they thought I looked really pale, and was questioning my foundation. I'll have to try to get one in better lighting sometime! I do really appreciate your feedback - it may sound as though I don't, I just wanted to give you more background. I have thought about several of the the things you mentioned.
