WIW 12/8: Faux fur for a casual brunch

Thanks, Bella, for spurring me to take my faux fur vest out for a spin on this cold Southern California day! It was just the thing for a casual brunch party to celebrate my beloved Trainer Dave's soon-to-arrive second daughter!

Faux fur vest: Ann Taylor
Breton stripe top: LL Bean
Skinny jeans: DKNY
Plaid scarf: Street vendor in Cambodia
Booties: Bronx
Espresso tote: Elliott Lucca

Nothing in this outfit is new this year, but I hope the plaid scarf makes it look fresh. And BTW, there was a lady at the party dressed head to toe in a copy of this Pinterest look, only with a plain white tee instead of striped! Big fun!!

Warm and furry! I love how the vest and plaid winterizes your classic stripes outfit. The boots are fun too. Very fresh indeed, as if it were all purchased yesterday.

Canadian ladies, have you seen ANYONE wearing the fur vest up here? I'm not claiming to hang with a hip crowd, but once I learned a thing or two from ylf I could spot most trendy items/looks around Toronto. I have never once seen these in stores or on people. Wondering if that's part (cause or effect) of why we don't love the trend?

I have a faux fur vest and a plaid scarf...I can feel a copy coming on :). You look amazing as always Mary. I love that you rolled your jeans as I would not have though to do that myself and I think it looks great.

A fun vest outfit. I really like that you paired striped with the vest, I usually see them paired with a solid color. Maybe next time try the vest with a silky top? Could be fun in an outfit remix. Does it work with your bee blouse?
