WIW 1/27: Homage to AllSorts - YouLookFab Forum

I loved, loved, loved K. Period's AllSorts candy-inspired outfit from a few weeks ago, and I'd also had a similar look from Bittersweet Colours pinned to my Pinterest board for quite some time. I had the black-and-white-striped top, but not the pink sweater.

Then yesterday I was in Costco, of all places, and there was a lovely pink sweater for $12.99! And when I got it home, I discovered it was the same color as my beloved Kate Spade pumps! Big fun!!

Black pencil skirt: Halogen
Black blazer: Gibson (also new, from the Rack)
Striped top: Lands End
Pink sweater: Costco
Pink pumps: Kate Spade
Black and white tote: Steve Madden (also new, from the Rack)
Megapearl pendant: ASOS

And just for fun, some alternate shoe choices: Yellow Madden Girl pumps to really take the AllSorts candy theme all the way, and silver Calvin Klein pumps because I loved K. Period's silver pumps so much! And the candy, of course.

Thank goodness you posted! I couldn't continue on in this foggy damp morning without a cheery Mary post.

Great buy. I like the silver shoes with it. I have several v-neck tops and think they look funny with just stripes at neck. Great idea to have them show top, bottom and sleeves too.

Super fun! And super fab! I loved K. Period's and Veronica's versions, and I also love yours, MaryK. The shade of pink, the striped top, the graphic colour-blocked bag (how fab is that!), and your pumps. It's all perfect. I think I love it best with the pink KS pumps and the yellow pumps, deliciously playful.

Love! So much fun! The megapearl pendant reminds me of a gum ball to go with the rest of the candy. Love it the most with the pink pumps. The new bag is icing on the cake.

Mary K - no one does color like you!! Fantastic. I would never have thought to put that pink v-neck over the b/w stripe with the cuffs and hem peeking out. Brilliant!! and Kudo to K Period's amazing inspiration - just fabulous both of you!! Love the Calvin Klein pumps, the straps are so pretty on your ankles and of course the pink KS pumps and b/w bag..amazing!!

Gorgeous!! You had me at black and white! I just cannot get enough of it. But adding the pink? So, so stunning and happy and fun and yet chic! I adore them all, but my favorite has to be the silver pumps (though those pink KS ones are fabulous). Your WIWs are such a treat!

Aw, you ladies are so sweet! I had a blast in this outfit today, I must admit! Very fun! I loved the matchy pink shoes, but the silver shoes were really fun, too. You can't see it very well in the photo, but they have kind of a crackle finish that really reminds me of the little "beaded" candy in the candy photo! So fun!!
