WIW 1/26: Diana copycat and trying out my slouchy casual khakis

1/2. I knew I had to copy this outfit the minute Diana posted it! I don't have a raspberry blazer so I substituted my apple green version. I wore this to brunch at Mr. K's cousin's house and felt super fab!

Microcheck pants: Vince Camuto
Black turtleneck: Ann Taylor
Green blazer: GAP
Black boots: Frye
Pendant: H&M
Black tote: Coach

3/4. When we got home I changed into my khakis and decided to see how they would look scrunched up, a la Angie's recent blog post. I'm pretty happy with this look and will look forward to taking it out of the house when spring arrives!

Khakis: GAP
Blue pullover: JC Penney
Silver boat shoes: Sperry

I loved Diana's original, and your version with the green is equally wonderful.

I'll have to confess to not having been sold on those scrunched khakis when Angie posted them, but they look awfully cute on you.

Did the khakis stay up when you wore them that way? What was the comfort factor. I like the look a lot, but it is going to be an awful,long time before I can have bare legs outside without frostbite.

I have to admit I don't have a report on how the pants stayed up because it's cool here and I rolled 'em down as soon as I snapped the photo! But they felt pretty secure. So we'll see when the weather warms up!

Hello Mrs. K -- the first outfit is so fabulously Town & Country, I like that vibe on you. And your 2nd look is a sure thing for spring/summer. I tried those pants like that at the Gap and it did not work, I decided I have the wrong hips for that look.

Funny that the original scrunched chinos didn't appeal to me at all but I sure love your copycat It's a decidely casual look (**laughing at annagybe's comment88) yet very distinctive. I hope you get to try it out and about and report back.

Too bad, though, if Cocolion couldn't make it work with her mini-pear shape, then it will be impossible for my maxi-pear shape to scrunch chinos. . .and be seen in public.

Love your copycat (and Diana's version too). The lime green is fab on you. You manage to make the colour look chic - not an easy feat with that particular colour, imo. And yet, you've done it!

I'm also quite impressed with the scrunched up khakis - when Angie first posted about them, I thought "no way...", but now...seeing them on you, I might try them later on in spring. Looking forward to hearing a report from you at some point as to whether they stay scrunched up like that! They look great on you!
