WIW 1/24 and 1/25: Casual and Office

I love to wear the same pieces for the weekend and the office, and that's what I'm doing here. Nothing here is new except the cream leather jacket, but I felt good in both these outfits anyway!

1. Gray jeans: Target
Striped sweater: J Crew
Floral scarf: Target
Tan boots: Frye
Cognac satchel: Banana Republic
Studded belt: Streets Ahead

2. Everything is the same but for work I swapped out the leather jacket for Ann Taylor tweedy moto, and the jeans for Halogen pencil skirt. Big fun!!

Do any of you do this kind of weekend-to-work thing?

I keep my work and non-work outfits quite separate, with the odd thing appearing in both. But I do range between more casual, when in the office with no external meetings - and when out and about, so this is good inspiration, thank you! You look great.

My wardrobe all merges together as I work from home, however I do have one or two looks I tweak for casual or work.

My main tweak would be adding a jacket or blazer to a casual look, or swapping footwear.

I love both these looks with a slight preference for the work one surprisingly...love that pencil skirt with the sweater, scarf and boots.

I love both looks and I particularly love how your fab Fryes suit both casual and office looks. A pair of Fryes are on my wish list for the next time I visit the. US.

I have this weird thing where I don't like to wear 'work' items on the weekend and 'weekend' items to work. I Know it makes no sense...perhaps it's just my way of mentally preparing myself for work or relaxation.

Certainly! It is often the footwear that differentiates things. That, and skirts for work, but not weekend. Tops, especially Mariners, sweaters, flannel, and Jean styled jackets see rotation in both wardrobes. Button downs that require ironing, and silky fabrics don't see weekend wear.

I'm putting the breaks on any new work only items, since I don't want to be doing a huge edit at the end of next year!

Those boots are lighter...more 'blonde' and less orange than cognac. Lovely bookending!

I do a smart casual to workout casual similar thing almost daily with a nicer top or third piece over a tee and changing out booties for sneakers.
Your blonde boots are a perfect color for you in the photos.

Super fresh and current. I love this mix of "casual" and "business." You could do a flier for offices struggling with defining "business casual" and make a mint.
