WIW 1/23: Black and white and brown and teal

Yes, it's another Pinterest copycat, this time from http://wearcolor.tumblr.com/. I just can't help myself! I don't have a pink top so I used the Hinge "UWP" sweater and hid the asymmetric hemline by tucking it in. I was stymied about the shoes until I looked in the closet and saw my black and white oxfords. It's a little "out there" but I'm happy with it!

Tan pencil skirt: Halogen
Rust sweater: Hinge
White belt: Target
Teal jacket: Amber Sun
Colorblock tote: Vince Camuto
Black and white oxfords: Doc Martens
Gumball pearl earrings: Drugstore.com, of all places

This outfit makes me happy and I think it looks reasonably normal as long as I'm sitting behind my desk. What say you all?

Ok... your copycats are amazing! The bag I have admired on many occasions and just the whole thing is great ... and fun to see you do more neutrals with a signature bit of bright. Where do you find these inspirations? Do you browse or search or link or ???

I have a few blogs I look at regularly, and yesterday I had some time on my hands and I went down the rabbit hole browsing around and looking at sites I'd seen before but generally don't visit, and then going to new places that were linked from those sites, and so on. It was a real Pinfest! LOL

Love the teal and the browns together (I think I need to try this sometime as I have a fear of brown, and never know what to pair it with). Great bag too!

I love the colors here.. but must admit that I am very poison-eyed to this chunky shoe with bare legs on you my Barbie Shoe-Love Sister! The inspiration photo, while platformed, is still rather sleek. I think these particular shoes would work infinitely better with pants, but clearly I am alone in this thought.

Well you know I love the Saras, being that I have a pair, so to my eye, the shoes work fine. Love the colour combination of teal and brown, which I've never thought of combining before. And that handbag is PERFECT with the outfit. Carry on Ms Pinterest Queen!
