WIW 12/29: Last work day of the year featuring The Giant Bag!

I had a pile of documents to take from home to work today so the Giant Bag worked for that, even though I still think it's visually too big. Trying to decide whether to keep or pass along. This dress is a couple of years old but it feels like a nightgown so I love it!

I hope all you who are working have a quiet last day of 2017, and those of you who are off enjoy the holiday!

That's a gorgeous dress! No wonder you love it.

The bag really is big! So big that your photo machine doesn't think it is part of the outfit! Hilarious. But as one who also carries a bag about twice my size, I get it. Good luck today!

This is a hard one for me. I love large, functional bags, but I understand the issue about proportion as well.

How often do you use it? Is it used often enough to warrant a place in your wardrobe in 2018? Is it a tool or a fashion statement? If the bag used enough to meet your needs, I vote keep.

Pretty outfit - really like this one And yes, that big is big! I didn't register it as being extraordinarily big until now - but , you're using it as a tote/briefcase, right? And not as a purse?

Love your whole ensemble~ You look great in blue~ I love the bag, but for daily use it would hurt my back. I would however, keep it for travels on plane, train, as it's useful to have a large bag when you travel. A good basic! Keep it~ You look great~ love that cute tweed moto jacket~

Now I know you don’t read my posts, lol. You inspired me to carry our snacks for the plane in my new, big-for-me purse. You can’t give yours up now!
But seriously, it is a good-looking bag, and the big pattern on the dress works with it really well. If it is full of documents in this picture, then A) you are super strong and B) it’s useful to you for work and earns its place in your closet for that reason. Also, I like your ankle strap shoes.

To my eyes the bag doesn't look too big when you carry it--it looks well proportioned, and you hold it so elegantly. But then again I have a bias--I love giant bags and I'm very petite, so perhaps my eyes are adjusted to oversize bags. I recently got a giant bag and I love, love, love having room for everything and still not feeling like the bag is overstuffed. But I don't always heed rachylou's advice and sometimes get an achy shoulder from lugging too much...
