WIW 12/22 and my mom in her Xmas sweater on her 90th bday!

My favorite holiday tradition is Cookie Day! Usually DS bakes with me, but he is far away so yesterday I packed up my cookie-making gear and went to my mom's to bake with her on her 90th birthday. She was wearing the Christmas sweater you all helped me find, which she loves! I was wearing citron and red for my holiday colors and acquired a lovely rainbow-striped apron along the way!

Citron sweater: Ellen Tracy
Red polka-dot cardigan: Costco
Skinny jeans: DKNY
Red boots: Frye
Red satchel: Banana Republic

1. Ready to go
2/3. The lovely Christmas sweater
4. Dad, not to be outdone
5. Mom and her 90th birthday cake
6. Decorating cookies (note the fab apron)
7. Done!

Thanks, ladies! It was a fun day! Mom is a little tottery these days but we had a great time together! And between cookie making and cake eating, my dad and I watched two football games!

What a lovely group! And I did notice your fab apron. I'll be starting my baking today. I do not do near as much now as in years past when we had a house full of kids and lots of places to share treats.

One of the best things about having Cookie Day off-site at my parents' home was that I got to leave most of the work product behind so I won't be tempted to eat it!

OMG, Mama and Papa MK are the most adorable couple. Thank you so much for sharing these. i am a messy baker so I cannot wear my good clothes. I am not that great with cookies, but I made mini chocolate covered Oreos and some cakepops for the family. I want some sugar cookies now. #7 is the standard MK expression. Darn it, I miss you woman.

I have always baked cookies with my mom for Christmas and now I'm doing it with my daughter. It's a lot of work, but fun and of course you get to taste them all.
