WIW 12/17: Leather and stripes and citron and red

I have been looking all over for a black and white striped top, and finally found this one at Lands End. Believe it or not, it's a "swimsuit top," but I love the fit and especially the fun treatment of the stripes around the neck. Plus the forecast here today is for the low 80s so going to work in my swimsuit seems appropriate! Teamed it with red and green and dangly "ruby" earrings for the office Christmas party today.

Striped top: Lands End
Leather pencil skirt: Halogen
Citron blazer: GAP
Red tote: Dooney & Bourke
Green pumps: Kate Spade (if you look closely you can see the heels are striped -- big fun!)

MK I sm scratching my head trying to understand the swimsuit top funda. Is it swimsuit material.
But that apart I like how you make leather skirt work appropriate. Also the cheeky bookending of top and shoes. My my I want a boss like you:)

Ramya, upon looking at the label again, they call it a swimsuit cover-up. But yeah, it's kind of a swimsuity material. Lightweight and smooth. I am kind of digging it.

Too fun! I saw these "swimsuit tops" and thought they might be great as a normal top. You prove that it's the case.

I love this look on you. It is very clean, but still fun with the stripes and jacket. The Halogen skirt really brings up the sophistication level to off the charts and makes a great foil for the casual 'bathing suit top'.

Neat mix of a lot of fun elements here, striped, colors, and mixing up materials by adding swimwear and leather. You have a real knack for creating fun outfits!

Gah! Who else but you could make red and green, swimwear and leather, and prison stripes look off the charts fabulous!

Are those swim tops TTS? That would be a great addition to my amusement park/water park capsule. I think I need to size up though. I'm on the edge of their waist measurements for XS. I don't want a body hugging fit.

AJ, I ordered both the S and the M, and they both fit but I decided to keep the M for a little more ease.
