WIW 12/1: Purple and blue and lavender

It's finally gotten a little wintery here today so I busted out my new lilac sweater with some old favorites. I have been totally consumed with getting the house in shape to host Thanksgiving, but I am happy to report I made it! The bad news, though, is I was so busy I didn't take one single photo of my beautiful table or the house before we totally trashed it! But here's a pic of my dad the morning after in the dining room, which gives a bit of an idea anyway.

And in the latest house news, now that the master bath is up and running, they started demo on the guest bath bright and early this morning! LOL

Great color scheme in your outfit, it's very harmonious while a bit unexpected with the darker blue skirt. Firecracker, I'm so tickled that you mentioned the "un-matchy" furniture, because started its life as a matched set! I painted the chairs silver and re-upholstered the seats in purple velvet to get away from the 80s-matchy look and your comment tells me I succeeded! Yay!!

Lyn67, yes. We left the small windows bare on purpose. There's really no room for curtains on that wall, and privacy isn't an issue on that side of the house, so we just left them as-is. There are matching curtains in the adjoining living room so hopefully it looks intentional.

Elizabeth P, so funny you should mention leaving no stone unturned! My designer is just like Angie in that she leaves no retail stone unturned! We've gotten furniture and accessories from every retailer from The Horchow Collection to Urban Outfitters (that's where we got the fab curtains) to Etsy (bubble chandelier) and even Target (lots of Target!).

Oh, and the happiness factor for the outfit was very high. I got a lot of nice compliments on the fun scarf!
