You know I love this color scheme. I've been looking for burgundy pleather pants for a long time, but no Winners here.

What a nonchalantly chic combo of textures & colours - I'm really enjoying seeing the 'edge' to your style evolve with a menswear spin! Burgundy usually ends up orphaned in my wardrobe because I can't figure out quite how to wear it (since it isn't technically brown but it isn't purple either), but will try orange!

You've got me hankering for those burgundy pleather pants too! Still hunting for the right high-rise pair in chocolate first though...

Would you be my WInner's personal shopper? You go and send me photos and I give you my credit card

Wow, I love this. I wouldn't expect to like these colors together but it looks fabulous! And those pants!

Effortlessly cool! But knowing what I do about putting together this type of outfit, if I saw you at the office my head would turn and I would nod appreciatively at the hidden effort;)

OOOH! The turned back cuff looks good. Thanks for humouring me

Suntiger -- I hope you find 'your pair'!!

Zaeobi -- I actually started with a brown pair that I will now return. There was a small temptation to keep them, too, but the colour and style are actually so similar to the burgundy ones that it would basically be a duplication.

Lisa, happy to enable in any way I can!

Thank you, Robin. I've loved this colour combo since the mid eighties, when I had a fabulous iridescent burgundy puffer with burnt orange lining.... I wore that thing for YEARS!

Thanks, Jules!

Always happy to humour you, Angie -- your advice is always good!!!

Jaw-droppingly awesome. I don't think I ever would have put these two colors together -- until now!

I am late to comment on this look, but I love it. The colors, the fit ... it all works so well on you.

Thank you for the kind words, Tina and UmmLila!

Sorry -- I think I missed your comment, Janet -- thank you! I will take your 'effortless' compliment very humbly and happily!

And to all who have commented about it feeling current, I'm tickled because not so long ago 'current' was not an adjective I would have applied to my style. It was in a real slump. I'm delighted to be having fun and playing with clothing again!!

Not what I was expecting. Love it!

Thanks, Rachy! Now I want to know what you were expecting

Lol, I was thinking a burgundy that was really a cranberry

@ CarolS - went to the local Winners to see if I could lemming that orange sweater, but no luck. (Found a COS sweater in orange - but too big).

Found some Merrell socks that DH has been looking for (unsuccessfully) so snabbled up a dozen of them for under the Christmas tree.

The beauty of Winners is that you just never know when something will suddenly appear. French Connection sweaters seem to be showing up a lot lately, so you never know what a future trip might turn up!

Glad you found something useful anyway!

Carla - Gap has a nice orange cashmere blend sweater. In fact I’m returning one tomorrow morning . Not sure what’s left as I bought it a month ago .
