WIW 1/17: Blue and gold Pinterest copycat

I can't stop pinning and copying! In fact, I have a whole Pinterest board called "Outfits I Have Copied and in Which I Have Actually Left the House!"

The thing that caught my eye on this one was the brown belt with the navy and gold. Big fun!!

Oh MaryK, I love you! I just ordered a mustard colored skirt last week and now I have a whole new outfit inspiration for it. I wear lots of blue, so I anticipate it will get a surprising amount of wear.

You can find a lot more by searching the forums for "yellow raisin," which is what Halogen called this color!

And here's something funny: I was in a meeting with some young women lawyers and the talk turned to home decorating, and I recommended looking at my fave home decorating site, http://www.houseofturquoise.com. One of the ladies said, "Have you heard of Pinterest?" LOL Have I heard of Pinterest? We were in my office so I had to pull up my Pinterest page and show them that today's outfit was copied from Pinterest. Big fun!!

I don't have a pin interest account, is that bad? What a great way to find new outfit combintations though. I'm amazed at how versatile brighter jeans such as yellow (or my green one's) are. Fab outfit!

That's no fair of you to go and upstage the inspiration like that ;-p I am a huge fan of blue and gold, it's even better with a stripe and cognac accessories. (note to self ... give that combo a try). Amazing as usual.

BTW -- Lisa, I love Pinterest, and I've saved a lot of money because I basically stopped buying magazines. Still, like all social media it can be a great time suck --- I literally set a timer and use Pinterest as a reward for getting work done!

I think navy and yellow are so fresh and chic, perfect for a warmer winter day. I like to copy my pins too, but by the time I'm done, my outfit may only remotely resemble the original. Whereas you are able to put together looks that In Style would publish.

Umm... I'm still thinking about the delicious food at Roy's -- maybe the Aloha Hour should be a YLF tradition? At least when I'm in town.

Oh and the company matched the food in excellence of course!
