So I tried the binder clip-tripod thing this morning and it worked like a charm! Big win!

This is one of those outfits I had to fight for. Started with a totally different top and skirt, then changed out the pieces one by one until I ended up with this. I love how my old very-favorite-scarf-in-the-whole-wide-world goes so nicely with my new-last-fall moto jacket.

Gray pumps: Madden Girl
Black tote: Cole Haan
Studded belt: Streets Ahead

Lots of activity at the house yesterday. My favorite addition is the newly-framed art piece over the bed in the guest room: It's a pastel drawing my son did almost 20 years ago in fifth grade or so. My designer and I loved it so much we designed the whole room around it! Also: Nothing says "party" like cafe lights over the dumpster! LOL

I've got to try that trick! I have a gorilla tripod, but it's quite a nuisance to bend into just the right, balanced shape.

Love the variation in the warm neutrals on you. It's a great way to give a nod to winter in SoCal!

I've got some kid's work to frame, too! I love the colors in the photo and the clean, graphic lines in the bed linens. As for the lights --- I love the warm glow almost anywhere -- even over the dumpster!

Killer. LOVE you in these high contrast neutrals, Mary. Punchy and Peppy. And the jacket brings back fun SIFF memories. I'm loving the toffee skirt.

(I wore low contrast neutrals in yesterday's outfit post for a change - if you saw it - but the pattern of the jumper and my specs made me like the outfit because it livened up the grey. Hope that makes sense).

Thank you so much, ladies! Angie, every time I wear this jacket I feel all warm and fuzzy, thinking about the fun we had at SSIF!

And come to think of it, we (my designer and I) fought for the room decor, too. OMG we must have tried a million different combinations of bedding and throw pillows before it all came together! Not completely dissimilar to what I went through when I got dressed this morning...

Beyond awesome. I am proud to say I also own that Target scarf and it is in heavy rotation in my wardrobe because it GOES WITH EVERYTHING. That Ann Taylor moto is delicious.
