WIW 11/28: Fall colors on the last day before vacation

It's fall weather again today and I finally get to wear this autumn-colored velvet blazer that I inherited from my BFF back in the summer! It would probably be better with pants because of the length, but I couldn't resist pairing it with this rust-colored skirt that I snagged (tags still on!) at the YLF swap!

Jacket: Hand me down, no tag
Skirt: Asos via swap
"Queen Bee" blouse: Emerson Made
Gold pumps: Jessica Simpson
Snake bag: Elliott Lucca
Belt: Streets Ahead

And yes, I know this is another outfit that probably is better sans jacket, but it's a work outfit so be-jacketed I go! But after today there will be no work outfits until December 24!! Woo-hoo!!!

Love how the handbag picks up the "bee" colours in the blouse - brilliant bookending IMO. And that blouse is perfectly paired with that skirt - beautiful fit and flare on it and the colour is so rich. I like the jacket with it actually - sure, technically it's probably a bit long for a skirt, but I still think it works. I like how the jacket has rust in the pattern that works with the skirt.

Mary, you look so fresh and bright in photo 1 - like you just got back from a workout (and a shower, LOL!)

And I love the bold pairing of the jacket with the skirt. I think the jacket's length will probably work better with pants (red skinnies?) But I do not blame you a bit for wanting to try it out!

Great jacket! The colors of the jacket and the skirt look good together. I probably wouldn't have been able to resist matching it with the skirt either, although I agree it might be a smidge too long.
