WIW 11/21: Fauxberry and polka dots

I'm not sure this is the most successful outfit in the world, but I felt like wearing this vintage polka dot blouse and after a bunch of trying on and discarding other pieces, the fauxberry scarf and tan skirt seemed to kid of do the trick.

Scarf: souvenir of Cambodia
Tan pencil skirt: Halogen
Polka dot blouse: vintage
Black blazer: Comptoir Des Cotonniers
Black booties: Via Spiga
Colorblock tote: Vince Camuto

Anybody have any suggestions for improvement?

I like the outfit very much with the jacket on in #1! The scarf + long sleeves + dark booties look a bit heavy with your (optically) bare legs in #2, but by no means bad. I really like the color combo here though! I'm wearing the same colors today.

Love this colour combo. Perfect with the jacket, but not without. Dark shoes need the dark jacket. (Great shoes, once again.). A bag like that is on my wish list.

I think it needs the jacket too. I am not a fan of the blouse silhouette, but I like the dots.

Love the dots! Not sure about the blouse, but it does look really nice with the jacket.

I like the outfit but it has a lot of classic coloring and pieces all in one, except for the shoes which throw off the outfit for me. I would either keep the outfit but swap out the shoes for a classic pump. Or I would swap out the classic blazer for an edgier jacket, maybe a leather jacket, or a moto jacket? Or I would nix the skirt and blazer and pair that 70s vibe blouse with a wide leg jean for a true boho type of look. Loose flowy top tucked in with a belt and flared jeans, fun! Lots of styling options here!

For me it's the bootie, it's ok with a bootie with a high vamp and it's ok with a black shoe but maybe not with both. Anyway, you still look pretty darn good.

With the jacket it's A1. Without, it does seem a little ALGO to me... and I don't know, the blouse actually seems a little big too...

I love you in retro looks! You absolutely have the personal presence to pull it off without being costumey, and both of these are fab. What about #2 with a pair of your Seychelles? With #1, what about a shorter jacket? These are just alternatives, not really improvements, since I love what you have here.

"Kind of"?? I think it's a great outfit. I especially like the version with the jacket. (Is the blouse pink? I think that's what's throwing me off of the look without the jacket.)
I like others' suggestions, too. But my initial reaction was love for the blazer outfit. On further thought, I wondered about a more ladylike or refined purse.
