WIW 11/30: Navy and green and white and dots

I'm still not super happy with my photo spot because the angle seems to be shortening my legs! Anyway... I got this skirt at this year's NAS and am really happy with it even though I know the midi length isn't everybody's cuppa. Blouse and jacket are from last year, the shoes are old workhorses and the bag is a Coach I bought used on eBay probably 7 or 8 years ago, with a new pompom to pep it up!

Wow, the skirt is lots longer on you than the model. I love the slimming effects of a pleated skirt and love how you styled this one. That shade of green and navy are wonderful together and brightened by the white.

You look amazing - it's so good to see you regularly again. Agree, since the skirt is so long it's hard to judge if the angle has a weird effect, but you know if it does.

What setting are you using to take those cool photos with the blurred backgrounds? Are you using your phone? (Sorry if I missed this detail, I wasn't around for a few weeks :))

Laurie, it's my new toy, the Amazon Echo Look. It is basically a toy for the purpose of taking outfit photos! I say "Alexa, take my picture" and she takes my picture and blurs the background automatically. Big fun!

This looks great! I adore polka dots and need to add some to my wardrobe. Shoes are fab and I like the skirt. The green bag pops and really elevates the outfit to special. And of course the pompom!

Aw, I like the art gallery as a backdrop. But if the skirt fits you as a midi and not tea-length, then yeah, the angle is off. If I had any criticism of this outfit, the long skirt would be it. I like the sandals & jacket.

The skirt does seem a little overlong, but the colours and styling are great. Love the pom pom.

Have you thought of styling the skirt for pm? The length provides drama, and the pleated style is on trend. A silver lace tank or cold shoulder top with silver footwear?

The skirt is midi length? It almost looks maxi length here! Can you put Ms. Alexa on something a little lower when you take the outfit photos? I like your art wall backdrop ^^ Regardless a slam-dunk color combo, and I love the extra bits of white from the shoes and pompom to echo the dots in the top.

I like the overall outfit, but the skirt looks ankle-length and frankly I see you better in a midi or under-knee. But most important thing is: what does hubby say?

CocoLion, the Style Check feature is literally just a check mark: You put two outfit photos side by side and it checks the one it likes best. Doesn't tell you why, doesn't tell you what criteria it uses. It will NEVER replace the forum! LOL

I love those shoes! And the green bag with the white pompom is super fun. I can't really tell in this photo if your proportions are off, but maybe the camera could be lowered at bit? I have to have DH hold the camera at around his belly button to get decent outfit shots.

Well, I love it! I kind of feel like the fact that the skirt is so long lengthens your body. Does that make sense? And the fact that the shoes are light keeps the mood a little lighter than if you'd gone dark.

Hmmm...maybe I need to experiment more with pleated skirts...I've only ever tried one and felt very puffy.
