WIW 11/12: Blogger Copycat Challenge, Day 1 -- Citron/Navy/Red

I copied this look from Catie at Cuffington, who is a new to me blogger with whom I am truly, madly, deeply in love! In fact, this is the outfit that gave me the idea for the Blogger Copycat Challenge! The navy and citron are so fab together, and the unexpected red bag just blows me away!

I don't have the fab butterflies that Catie used to make her top sing, so I substituted my Missoni for Target silk scarf and was super happy with how it turned out. I was tickled that I was able to find a vintage belt in my closet, and also some black-and-white patterned pumps to mimic hers as well!

Ditto to TraceyLiz65 with the thanks for suggesting this challenge. I'm excited to get dressed this week, and I already have my outfits semi-planned! I may have to do weekly challenges more often.

For one thing, it made me get "dressed" today, even though I'm ending up spending the day at home because we have a plumber and drywall guy here fixing up a leak situation. But since I'm dressed, I'm taking myself out for dinner and Skyfall later!

This could not be more fab! What's funny (or maybe sad) it that I have a salwar kameez outfit in these exact colors, yet never thought to transfer it to Western clothing. I need to start pinning some Indian outfits.
