WIW 10/9: Pink shoes and curly hair

Do you ever get on a jag and want to wear the same piece over and over? I wore my beloved pink shoes yesterday and couldn't resist wearing them again today with the matching shirt Carter was nice enough to send me a while back!

Windowpane ankle pants: Banana Republic
Coral shirt: Lady Hathaway c/o Carter
Black blazer: Halogen
Pink pumps: Kate Spade
Black tote: Coach
Studded belt: Streets Ahead

Happiness factor is pretty high, partly because I feel like the colors scheme is a bit of a departure from what I've been wearing a lot lately.

The house is really coming along. Yesterday they started the shower! Hooray!! And Habitat for Humanity is coming to pick up the old stove, ceiling fans, and doors, so my patio won't look quite so much like a junkyard by the time I get home today!

Very cute! I noticed in one of the cocktail party pictures that it looked like you were wearing your hair at least partially curly. I thought it looked really great in that picture. Hopefully your home will be done in good time for the holidays and you can have a ball decorating.

Darling as usual Mary, and I just realized that you and I are straight/curly twins! Although I not always so thrilled to have the texture when it's 100% humidity out, it is nice to have options on dry days. House is looking really great BTW. If you do decide to get some lavender, which should do very well in your climate once established, be sure and look for culinary varieties vs ornamentals. AviaMariah, the humidity in Seattle really did a number on my hair, even though it was sunny and not rainy! So by the second day I'd given up and embraced the curls! (Just straightened the front.)

IK, we are on the "tear out one bathroom at a time" plan. So I am using the (teeny tiny) guest bath while they work on the master bath. Once it's done they will tear out and re-do the guest bath.

Dashielle, lavender does great here in So Cal. I hadn't realized there were different varieties for culinary vs ornamental, so I really appreciate the info! Thanks!! And yes, I was surprised to see that we are hair twins, too!

i did the same thing as IK, i read it as pink hair, i thought ---WOW what has MsMary done, i really need to see this. so not pink hair, but pretty awesome nonetheless. love the pink shoes, and they way they mirror back to the shirt.
