It's hitting 80 degrees here today but I don't care, I'm wearing boots! Hosting an open studio today so visitors are coming and going. It's a good opportunity to wear something other than jeans, yet still casual; cool and loose, yet covered. This dress bridges summer and spring and fall pretty well, changing mood with footwear.

Added a cuff, statement ring, earrings, and matchy-matchy burgundy clutch. Easy as can be!

It is a great way to wear the boots and not look overly wrapped up when temps are still warm.

Love this.The boots/purse are perfect and the outfit has such a long lean and clean line. I followed the Find and saw it styled with a belt, but I think I like the lines of your even outfit better.

Actually, Liz, I was quite comfortable! It didn't get warm enough to overwhelm the AC in my building (which happens sometimes in the old building when we have our studio doors open), and I spent the warmest part of the day indoors, so no problems at all! I wore thin socks under the boots and was fine.

You look fantastic and I am so glad that the boots were fine, because they look so great with your dress. I love the fit of this dress on you, as the waist definition gives the dress shape without being too figure hugging (so perfect for keeping cool and fresh on a hot day). These are beautiful autumn colours.

Momo, they are quite comfortable, right out of the box. I decided to pass along an old pair of burgundy boots because the heels (3.5" or more) have become uncomfortable for me. So on a whim, I thought I'd order these while I ordered another pair of boots to try. I thought I would be lucky if either one was a hit, but they both ended up being winners. I didn't walk a ton yesterday in them (this was the first outing), but I was on my feet standing a lot, which is even harder on comfort IMHO.

I have long calves, and these end up nowhere near knee height on me, so I think they'd work well for someone shorter. The calf is not too narrow (my calves measure 14.75-15" for reference), but I noticed that these are available is wider calf widths too. The laceup detail at the back gives a little extra flexibility on fit.

As I wore them throughout the day, they scrunched at the heel a bit, but I expect that of pretty much any tall boots. They are not stiff, so that didn't result in rubbing on my ankles, which has been a problem for other boots.

So TL:DR -- I recommend them! Let me know if you try them and how it goes.

Super fantastic! Seems just right for the occasion. I keep eyeing those boots--they are so cool. If they were waterproof, I'd consider getting them, as that's a possible wardrobe "hole" I could invent to fill.
