Somehow I ended up having not one but two dates with boys yesterday! Casual lunch with a friend of a friend (yup, blind date!), and a dinner party at the home of the Rotary guy with whom I went to the Hollywood Bowl a few weeks ago. When it rains, it pours, eh?
Complicating matters was the fact that it was VERY HOT and when I inquired about the dinner-party dress code I was just told to "be comfortable." Gah. Thanks for nothing. I finally decided that guys like women in skirts and dresses, so I busted out my fave print-skirt-with-chambray-shirt combo and added high heeled sandal booties and unbuttoned one more button than usual on the shirt.

White satchel: Banana Republic ("you can recognize me because I'm short and blond and will be carrying a white handbag")
Lunch date was fun and I am hoping he calls again. And the other ladies at dinner were wearing dresses so I felt like I made the right call there. Again, nice time.
House report: OMG you guys! They laid the gravel in the back yard and it is almost finished! Just waiting to choose the fountain for the back corner and get the patio furniture in place. I really don't feel like the photos do it justice -- I love it so much I want to marry it!
