This morning's ensemble is one of my favorite ones that Angie has ever posted. Deceptively simple, yet very interesting with all the different sweaters. I have a vast collection of bootcut pants that this idea could bring new life to.
Today I started with my very old (at least 8 years) Theory light silvery grey bootcut pants. I have had them forever and they are still in excellent condition. The updated sweater is a new J Crew light blue merino crew neck with zippers. I added a cream silk blouse underneath in order to be able to unzip the zippers a little. The footwear are new-ish ( from this Spring) Aldo pointy grey-ish suede booties.
I do not have a real man coat (though I am hoping for one) so I chose my straightest tailored one, a purple Benetton that I have had even longer than the pants, possibly for 10 years. It comes with a belt but I removed it for a straighter shape. I finished it all with my trusted silver satchel and silver/rose gold watch.
As always, all the comments and suggestions are welcome!
