WIW 10/30: Shoptoberfest loot and trying nude hose

It was quite cool today and rather than freeze, I decided to bust out some nude hose. I was beautifully toasty warm, but I worry that I looked a little frumptastic. I think these are maybe a shade too dark and old-ladyish. What do you all think?

In other news, I am super happy about the Theory jacket I purchased at Marshall's during Shoptoberfest, and even more happy with the amazing, new-with-dust-bag Nanette Lepore green bag that Adelfa brought to the swap!! Wow! Such loot!!

I like it all (but I usually do). From photos the legs are same color as your arms so pretty "nude". I wear nude hose so I have no issue with them. I love the soft neutrals and you definitely scored well at Shoptoberfest. I don't think I've ever seen Theory at my Marshalls...

Angie, of course I remember!! And you were in my head all day, telling me "nude hose is modern.... nude hose is modern" every time I started to lose my nude hose nerve!

And here's something fun: I've been looking for an olive jacket (sorry, Marley!) for two years and found this same fab jacket in olive at Barney's Warehouse online at 70% off so I snapped it up today! Big fun!!

Mary, I've always loved you in color, but you look simply amazing in this more neutral palette. I'm reminded of those oh-so elegant women I see on the streets of Milan. Wow!

That skirt is so pretty! I love it with the kitty cat print. Sorry MK I'm going to have to disagree on the hose -- I didn't notice them one bit. It's pretty doggone hard to look frumpy in snakeskin pumps while toting around a green bag especially while wearing a twirly skirt. Pretty in cream... just like a dream, is all I can think of.

Fabulous outfit! That white Zara skirt looks like the same one I have in black. The jacket looks great too - I think I need to head over to Marshall's tomorrow
I wear nude hose all winter - my favorite brand is HUE. Their hose are very sheer yet very strong.

Thanks so much, everybody! I feel better about the hose! I ordered some in a lighter color today and I hope I will feel more comfortable in them.

Suz, the jacket is called "Bastian." It's a season or two old. It cracks me up because the "bracelet length" sleeves are full length on me!

If you legs were orange, like L'eggs Suntan (oh, yeah, I did that), we'd have to stage and intervention, but these are lovely in my monitor. And I so love a good midi skirt!

Just lovely. You can so rock those pale colors--I don't think you should give up color, but your hair and coloring are meant for these pale neutrals, as well.
I think you will have some great fun with the skirt and the jacket mixed with other items as well.
You won't find me arguing with nude hose. They look fine (not noticeable) in the photo. I just try mine in different lights to be sure they seem to "disappear" and not look darker or more orangey than me.

What a beautiful, beautiful outfit! You look so great in those whites and beiges! And doesn't Theory make the best jackets? That one looks just fabulous, and should go with just about everything.
I think the nude hose look great. They seem to match your skin, so they don't seem too dark to me. If you go too light they can start looking a little chalky or nurse-like.

Oh man ........ how do you go from all colors to all neutrals (with the exception of the handbag) with the snap of your fingers??!! That skirt is luscious. And I agree that in the picture your legs look the same color as your hands. So it works.

Your sunglasses bookend your white skirt very well! Love this entire outfit!

Over on Corporette.com, they talk about "nude for you" shoes. I think the same concept applies to panty hose!
