WIW 10/24: Olive blazer and lime green sofa

It's going to be warm today so these pieces are lightweight but hopefully they still say "fall." It being the end of October and all. *sigh*

And OMG you guys! Had a marathon texting session with my designer last night and came up with an awesome plan for the living room. The fab lime green velvet sofa is ordered! Woo-hoo!! (Already own the turquoise leather chairs and ottomans.)

Love the outfit Mary. I think I am much better at home decor than fashion. I like the lines of the sofa. It is tailored but with the curved detail on the arms and legginess, achieves a nice balance between masculine and feminine. The same is true of the chairs and ottoman. Nice clean lines with a good mix of straight and curve. The sofa looks much more green than yellow on my monitor but I like that the colors complement each other. The room should be lovely. Are you adding an area rug to tie them together?

Thanks so much ladies! Dianthus, the sofa is really more green than citron, now that you mention it. But "citron" makes a catchy headline, doesn't it? LOL And yes, we're adding an area rug and also looking for patterned curtains.

One of the great things about doing this project by myself is that nobody else has to sign off on my choices. I don't imagine there are many husbands who would agree to that sofa...

Lime green sofa is gorgeous. We used to have one too. Now we have white.

Do you need to shorten the length of those pants, Mary? My complicated relationship with cropped pants can't help but surface. Loving you in olive, which is fably bookended with the shoes, and works perfectly with the blouse.

Angie, normally I turn up the hem of the pants but I was in a rush this morning and forgot. It's fixed now! And yes, lime green is a better name for the color of the sofa.

Now I'm looking at aqua sofas for the den...

Love the olive blazer with the crop pants, and I see the print blouse is still a workhorse, it has some great colors in it! Oh, and the lime green sofa it's awasome with your ice blue chairs and ottoman, delicious, can't wait to see!

Me again. I did a bit of decorating recently and used a circle pattern in the rooms to add continuity. The curtain panels in the great room and eating area have interconnecting circles, the faux wallpaper also has circles but in a different color and scale and I have artwork and accessories with circular patterns. It is fairly subtle but really ties the interconnected spaces together.

Dianthus, that's so funny because I am using circles and globes throughout the house. Dining room has a "bubble" chandelier, round ottomans, round mirror, and gourd lamps with round shapes in the living room, penny round tile trim and globe light fixtures in the bathroom, and so on.

Regardless of the pant length, this is one of my favorite outfits of yours. I just love the olive blazer with the olive shoes. Matchy matchy perfection! And such fab furniture for your living room!
