WIW 10/18: Culottes at the concert

Last night I went to see the L.A. Chamber Orchestra perform and I busted out my SSIF finds again, incudling the debut of my taupe booties because my friend and I walked a few blocks from dinner to the concert.

Burgundy culottes: Club Monaco
Gray silk shell: Ann Taylor
Tweedy moto jacket: Ann Taylor
Burgundy clutch: Nine West
Taupe booties: BP

Question: I'm a little stymied about what color bag to wear with these booties. Do you think I should get a matching bag? Or continue to match my bag to my clothes? Or what? Inquiring minds want to know!

I think the booties are neutral enough that you can match your bag to your shoes or your outfit!

Lovely! For a bag I think you can go matchy-matchy or completely unexpected color here and both would work.

This is right up my style alley. gorgeous on you! I am also considering those culottes.

I think a matching bag would be useful but is by no means the only way to go. As Sveta says, one in an unexpected colour (cobalt? Hot pink?) could be equally fun. And how about a snakeskin, a metallic, or one of your muticolour or neutral blocked bags?

I like this combination a lot, and I think the burgundy bag is totally fine. Like others, I was also thinking an unexpected bag color would be interesting with the boots another time. A pattern or a bright, maybe?

WHHHHHAAAAAATTTTTT !!! Culottes ! That is my HEWI and in one my favorite colors. OMG. Do you know that I have been looking for culottes since I was in the OC for Shoptober ? Aida and I looked everywhere for them then kept looking for months.

Sorry, fanning myself. Let's see. You look fantastic. I am not sure about the bag...I think that I like the idea of a color close to the boots with with texture or depth ( shiny ) or a print. : )

I gotta go now..off to the Club Monaco website so don't ask me for anymore advice tonight. LOL !!!

Wow! Love the jacket, love the culottes. Well I am besotted with culottes but the outfit, colors, pieces are all fab!

I am not team culottes, but this look could change my mind. I wear taupe booties often but don't have a taupe bag. I go with another color or metallic. I have not found a taupe bag I like. Maybe a coordinating shade in python?
