I love this on you Lisa!
I keep wanting to check out this Mondetta but keep forgetting to venture into the Bay (not my favourite. At least, the Ottawa store shopping experience = not great).

The faux fur scarf: wow, that works overtime on this outfit. I keep thinking about faux fur scarves and net bite the bullet because they seem difficult to drape and such.

The next phase of my journey is to upgrade my cute-running-around-town athleisure looks. Will need to check out Mondetta and Old navy for that (Meredith also seems to have good luck at old navy).

The wine coloured seam binding is indeed inside the coat , sorry for not mentioning that .

And Marilyn - can’t help you with your sizing - that’s way out of my realm . I haven’t worn 0’s and 2’s in quite a few years now . These particular pants are sold in S/M/L and I’m wearing an M . I wanted to pick up a larger size to also have on hand (the M is not comfortable on the waist , really, but I had already taken the tickets off and worn them for a few hours before I decided that) but they seem to be sold out at the moment .

Smittie - The Bay doesn’t carry the casual wear , or at least the one here doesn't , only the workout stuff . The Bay is so dumb, I agree.

I love this outfit on you, Lisa. Totally nailed it, and that scarf is such a great addition. The crop pants look great with the boots. As I mentioned nbefore, I struggle with crop I. The winter, so it’s great to see an e amp,e of hoe it can work. I think my problem is I love bare ankles with crop pants too much.

You have totally got me interested in trying some of this line. In fact, I just ordered the top and jacket, both on sale at the bay. The coat may be small for me, only one size left, but at least I’ll know if I want to order it from the company, with no free returns

Thanks also for the pant sizing info. I am a size up from you, so looks like I’d need a large. There are some on the website, btw.

Oh, and... -1... mild? Yikes. You are tough!

Elizabeth - I did order the pants in a large , and my order went through ok, but then showed up on backoeder when my order ( more stuff - the blazer in another size) arrived . Guess they went out of stock right when I was ordering . Let me know if you get them ! What size did you order in the jacket ? Mine’s an L, and plenty roomy .

You look amazing Lisa. My faves are the faux fur scarf, the coat, and the boots. I feel maybe you have quite a few boots? I keep going to the Nordstrom site to look again at those olive Sole Society suede boots with the gold studs that I think you bought when we were having an earlier shoe conversation? I really like them and they are very reasonable in NZ$ at present. I've only shipped shoes across the world once ( vintage from Etsy, from Maryland to NZ) and it doesn't sit well with me. So maybe they're only on a fantasy wish list

Jenni - you'd be right in that. I do have more boots than I should. What can I say? They always fit and don't put me in a bad mood, which clothes do In our climate too , unless I really baby them, they don't look great after their first season. I'm kind of particular about immaculate shoes . I have to be careful not to overbuy footwear because it dates quickly to my eye .

Hey I'm not getting at you! What can I say as well with my large number of shoes including boots? I remember when I bought my fave tall boots in 2011 I said to the SA " well I really like my feet as they're the only part of me that hasn't got fatter!" She looked at me sorrowfully and said "Goodness women are so hard on themselves". I do see what she was saying and have tried to accept my body better since then with moderate success.
One issue is that shoes DON'T always fit, any more. Pretty good, but I can't tolerate much discomfort these days. I also don't like them looking too worn but our climate is much kinder on shoes that Manitoba's is! And I don't perceive datedness as much as you do. I guess as I don't work in the fashion industry.

Jenni - I know you were teasing - so was I And hey - we are all different in our ideas and preferences. It's what makes life , and fashion , interesting.

Cool. I hope I like shoes until the day I die. I'd like to be the best shod 90 year old around if I get to an advanced age x

No such thing as too many shoes or handbags.

I don't subscribe to that theory, but go nuts if you do!

Oh good! My jacket is a large. For some reason I thought you’d said yours was an XL, so was thinking it might run quite small. Maybe it will work, given yours is a bit oversized on you. Will know soon enough.

Elizabeth - you’re not imagining things , I did write XL at first but when I was hanging it up today I realized it is an L . Honestly , if their clothes weren’t so good /nice , I’d be turned off and not buying because of the wacky sizing .

Well, I am very glad to hear that!

I especially like the pinstripe pants and look great with the new booties. Hard to assess the jacket, but what I can see I like and the fake fur is fun.

You should see how I layer up for a walk when it's 60F outside, lol. We have very different experiences of temperature. Great looking outfits.

YAY.

Thrilled you've found pieces from a new local brand that ticks off your boxes, Lisa. The trousers and tee are a flattering fit. Streamlining and versatile. Easy to wear and provide a great canvas for layering and accessories. LOVE the pinstripe on the pants.

The faux fur scarf and burgundy accents make the look, to my eye. The grey and black come alive with the non-neutral and texture. Fabulous touch. And Killer earrings.

(p.s. I LAUGHED at your description of mild weather at -1C. My description of mild weather is18C. HAHAHAHAHAH!)

I love this outfit, but I think this is something that I would be wearing at 18C, not -1C. My goodness, I would be wearing layers of puffer coats! This is indeed a great label and does not look like gear to me. When I say I don't like wearing gear out and about, I am thinking of gym tights/Skins and sports tops, not beautiful clothes like this. I am such a lover of coloured seam binding, it really highlights the great construction of this coat.

Very late to this, but this looks totally fab. I like the pieces you got, and even though the pants are cropped you're making me want some. I love the idea of casual pinstripe.

Love it all on you! I'm glad you kept the burgundy accessories.

You people kill me. MILD vis a vis the time of year. Mild for November. Of *course* it's not mild for May or June or even September. But thank you all for your comments here - I really like this kind of clothing ...throw it on , no tucking and fussing and adjusting. It's -8C this morning , and I'm throwing on a puffer to head to the gym

This line looks so perfect for your style, Lisa. I especially love the burgundy accessories and that cute coat. Good find!

Thank you for bringing this brand to my attention! I just ordered 2 items from The Bay so at least if they don't fit they'll be easy to return. Great casual clothes and so nice that it is a Canadian company. I love those pants but they look way too low on the rise for me or I would have tried them too.

Great look Lisa - good scores all round. Perfect for your lifestyle where you are mixing working from home, client visits etc..

Perception of temperature is a funny thing - my MIL once said that 20 degrees C in Wellington NZ was the same as 30 degrees C in Melbourne Australia. Clearly she was wrong but I know what she meant too!!
