WIW 10/10: Black ankle pants with (new) black booties

I got these black booties at SSIF and today it was finally cool enough to bust them out. I love, love, love the cut-out to show the toe cleavage! LOL

I felt good in this outfit today at work and I also feel like it's going to do well for an unexpected after-work dinner and art walk event with some friends. What do you all think?

House report: The drywall guy is here and my walls are looking more like walls and less like a construction site (give or take all the equipment and debris)! And Habitat for Humanity was here yesterday to pick up the old stove, so the patio is looking more like a patio and less like a junkyard! Woo-hoo!

I've abdicated some responsibility and engaged the services of an interior designer for the new house. Not a youngster, 'Dean' figured DH and me out in a minute and now I've got a wall colour for the principal rooms, and a colour scheme! We are going the luxe route of goose down for couch and chairs to see us into our 'old age' in comfort!

Aw, thanks for all the kind words, ladies! The booties did fine all day, although I must admit I was glad to take them off at 10 pm after an evening on my feet! And Aida, they were already on sale when I bought them!

AJ, the bumped out wall is the new closet for the master bedroom on the other side. We stole the old closet to enlarge the bathroom. It won't look quite so bumpy once the built-ins are installed on both sides. And I'm shopping for the fountain on Monday!
