What I'm wearing here is my second go-to formula: the minidress + tall boots. I may have posted this outfit before except this time, I'm wearing it with my new longer collarless ope jacket. I bought the jacket this week specifically for this dress (the denim jacket doesn't quite look right). It gives it a bit of a slightly mod vibe. But because this is me, it's rocker edgy mod

I've taken a strong liking to very clean simple curves in my outfits. I love structure with curves, and this seems to suit my body well. I've also taken a strong liking to shift dresses: my favourite types of dresses back when I was younger and thinner. I have only lost 12 lbs so far, but I lost 2 inches off my bust and 2.5 on my waist. It seemed to have "balanced me out" a bit where wearing higher necklines and surrendered waists actually looked better (they used to make me look like a brick back when I had a bigger tummy and was busty). If I keep up with my diet (I cut out sugar, dairy, gluten), I can probably maintain these proportions.

I wish there were more dresses like this out there. I'd love a black one and I'd love more in funkier prints. They just look fabulous with flat footwear! I would actually want to explore more shift mini dress styles but I'm not quite sure who sells them! Any ideas?
