Inge's blog posting on Oct 12 "Casual Denim with Luxe Touches" was one I loved, loved, loved. I felt like I had died and gone to heaven, fashion-wise. Grey and cognac (and their variations) are my two most-worn neutrals and I wear them together often. DH and I were leaving that morning for a 4 day road trip to Maine to celebrate our 30th anniversary so no chance to post anything. Once we got back I had to finish my summer/fall wardrobe swap before I could try this outfit idea because all my grey sweaters were in winter storage.
Today I got to it!
My style is more classic than Tanja's with fewer luxe details. My gold jewelry is smaller scale than hers. My scarf is a print that has grey, blue, and brown, but it passes for another cognac item. I was going to wear my grey knit moto jacket when I go out later, but we're in day 3 of constant heavy cold rain from an early nor'easter, so I'll be wearing a grey vest under my waterproof rain jacket.
These items are all at least two years old...
- Style&Co/Macys Jeans
- Charter Club/Macys Cashmere pullover
- Lucky Booties
- Scarf from my local botanical garden shop
- Vince Camuto cross body
- Loft moto (the one I did not wear)
- LL Bean quilted/fleece vest
- LL Bean black waterproof hooded jacket (this is a workhorse that I bought a little big so I can layer it over all sorts of things)
