WIW 1-8 and 9

It is freezing here. 27 degrees and drizzling off and on. If the drizzle continues through the evening I am sure it will be a mess here tomorrow. I realize for some of you 27 isn't bad but here it is a different story.
Yesterday I wore a BR sweater in navy, jeans and tall boots.
Today I wore pretty much the same thing jeans, tall boots and a BR sweater in silver gray with a checked shirt underneath.
Yesterday I wore a Loft coat in red and today I wore a black and gray Laundry coat from this years NAS. I always wonder in I need more than one coat but I have to say I am glad to have several just for the variety. We are suppose to unseasonably cool for the next week I was sure glad to see Angie's post today for inspiration.

#2 Best way to wear a checked shirt ever. I'm not much of a lover of plaid or checks except in small doses, and this outfit shows me how to do it right.

Well, I have to admit, I was hoping to see a WIW of you in skirted leggings :). But that aside, these are two great outfits for you. Simple and classy. Great proportions.

Good grief, Debbie, 27 is astounding for where you are. I'm impressed that you can look so chic while being warm. When I lived in Texas I would have had to resort to gear for that kind of cold. (Think: hiking boots, thick woolen socks, and lots of layers.) You have the right pieces to say fab--nice job!

I was hoping to see my skirted leggings too Elizabeth. I now remember why I normally don't order from Macy's.
Firecracker-it can get cold here but normally not this cold. I really just want to stay inside in my PJ's.

27 degrees and drizzling wet can make this gals bones ache and want the comfort of soup and a cozy blanket.
For you that temperature would be cold. That temperature here in Ontario this time of year we would think we were having a heat wave.

At this moment we are 7 and with the wind chill it is minus 9..

You are certainly looking good in both pics and I like everyone else love the boots.

I like the way you styled your plaid shirt.

I keep searching for one but everyone I see I end up walking away from. I like it as a layer under a sweater like you have done. I wear layers a lot, usually a cami under everything. They have a hard time regulate the heat at work so I am always cold no matter what season it is.

Debbie, I lived in Austin. I never even bought boots until I moved to Seattle. (Well, I had boots when I lived on the East Coast, but in Texas and California, I didn't have any except hiking boots.)
