WIW 07.02.12: coral, white, and teal

I bought this white skirt from Benetton at the DC meetup a couple of weeks ago, and finally got to wear it today. A gauzy, full white skirt has been on my summer wish list for a while and this one is perfect! (As an aside, I was quite impressed by Benetton. Had not been in there for years, but they had lots of nice things (a lot of natural fibers like cotton and silk) for reasonable prices. This skirt is 100% cotton.) I paired it with my coral cowl-neck tee (which has tiny white polka dots that I don't think you can see in the photo) and teal sandals. My bag is a fabric sling bag that I picked up at H&M and it is perfect for summer.

So pretty! Breezy and perfect for summer. I love the red cowl neck top. I have been looking for one for ages, but cant find one where the fabric isn't too thin

Beauty of a skirt, and such a pleasure that it's *white* and flowing cotton, yet not sheer!

It's this kind of quality natural-fibre garment that used to draw me to Benetton years ago, but contrary to your experience, I actual got a bit of a shock this year to find nothing but polyester and viscose jersey this season for women. Not one shirt! The men's store down the street had a far superior selection, though, so it's clearly some store manager's idiocy at play.

Thanks, everyone! I really love wearing this skirt - it's so fun and swishy and very comfortable.

Manidipa, it actually *is* slightly sheer - not too bad though, and in any case I am wearing pettipants underneath that function as a slip and completely solve the problem.
