WIW 0610: Chevron top, fussy tube skirt

I'm planning on starting a few threads today so I'll get my WIW out of the way

Why this outfit is awesome:
- comfortable
- edgy
- still polished
- my pain free edgy sandals!!!!

What I didn't like:
- skirt is riding up. Lining is not behaving. Despite the comfort, it's a fussy tube skirt. I haven't been very satisfied with both my Catherine Malandrino ruched skirts lately due to the fussy riding up issue. Might be the slippery fabrics of bot the skirt and the lining. The skirt doesn't seem well-made either and you would THINK I'd know that!

I should've purchased a VC tube skirt instead. Or... After my part time school semester ends, I might draft my own.

Thank you, lyn! This chevron top is my favourite! The cut is good too (I should've posted a sans-jacket photo) and I'm thinking about knocking it off and make tops out of it (hopefully I have time)

Fab outfit, sorry it was riding up. I can say the VC tube skirts are quite nice.

Chevron shirt is great! I have two Vince tube skirts and I think they are worth the money. They are on sale at the Bay (or were the other day!) right now.

Great outfit, too bad about the skirt. Fussing with skirts is no fun! I hope you find (or make) a good replacement, because the ouftit is sure worth repeating.

Too bad about the skirt riding up - that would drive me crazy. The outfit looks fantastic though - love the bold chevron top and yay for comfy sandals.

Definitely nab a VC tube skirt - you won't regret it.

I love how the Vs in the sandals echo the chevron pattern. The whole outfit looks great!

(Tight short skirts do tend to ride up. No fast walking in this outfit I guess).

It is settled: I'm getting a VC skirt to replace this scandalous little number OR I'm going to see if I can draft and sew the skirt myself!

I really love this outfit too but I like comfort and function. Fidgeting and pulling is just not comfy to me!

I love the chevron top and the skirt together. Too bad that it rides up - I always hate when my clothes don't behave.

Love this outfit on you, despite the skirt's issues. Agree with Shevia that it's a deal-breaker for me when a skirt does that. I love the VC skirts -- no problems of that kind on me.

Thank you! The skirt riding up wasn't an issue until I finally wore the skirt for a full day. It used to be worse: it had strings attached to the lining and main fabric, which made the riding up issue pretty bad. I cut off the strings and it was better, but I still had to tug the dress down. Since tugging and wind flapping are outfit ticks that annoy me, I figured it's time to replace the skirt.
