WIW 02.12.2014 - Heat Wave! - YouLookFab Forum

It was 21F this morning on my way into work. It is already warmer today by more than 10 degrees that it was all day yesterday!

I used the occassion to break out a skirt! I love this skirt far more than I thought I would. It is animal print, but in a quiet sort of way. Using it as a neutral, I paired it with a teal cashmere v-neck from Talbots that I got for Christmas. Added my Ugg boots (which fit better through the calves, showing how much I have slacked on weight lifting ) and my Hanes Blackout tights as my fleece ones are starting to pill a bit and irritate me. Topped with my Movodo watch and a necklace my sister bought me.

I am uncertain about the necklace. It feels less like me as it is so busy, and yet, I think it goes well with the sweater.

You look lovely Thistle! I really like the combo of teal and animal print. I have a hard time with necklaces. I think the one you chose works here but if it were me, I would probably try one that has a large/heavy-ish pendant that would lie closer to the vee of the sweater. But that's just me

You look great although your idea of a warmer temperature boggles my mind. I like the necklace on you but want it to be a bit longer - I am not a necklace expert though.

I like the necklace with the sweater. This is coming from someone who generally feels an outfit is unfinished without some sort of necklace (although I'm not sure how long I'll be able to wear necklaces now that the baby is getting more grabby). I love the patterned skirt with the green top.

It's amazing how warm "cold" can feel! I really like this outfit and I love the texture of the skirt. If it were me I'd probably leave off the necklace but I tend to be a minimalist that way. I can't tell you how many times I put on a necklace and take it off before I walk out the door. But it looks great with too. Whatever feels most comfortable for you!

Love the teal/animal combo! Perhaps a pendant that echoes the shape of the V neck might be a better necklace choice, but that is a nitpicky comment from someone who bats strongly for Team Necklace. It still looks fab as it.

I like the skirt and sweater together. As for the necklace, I think it's just a bit too short for the neckline. Do you have one that is slightly longer? I do think wearing a necklace makes the outfit look more complete.

Beautiful color on you. I think the necklace shortens your neck with the v of your top. Too much skin showing between the two. I think the necklace would look very good with a crew neck top, though.

Funny thing how below freezing is warm! Good for you pulling out a skirt, you look great and you can't go wrong woth cashmere this time of year! What about an extender of some sort for the necklace to make it a bit longer?
