WIW 02.05.2014 - During the Snow

It had to warm up today to snow. Combine that with the temperature wars at work (it is roasting now), I opted for a thin sweater with a cami underneath (Ann Taylor), bootcut trousers (Talbots), and black booties (Ecco). Finished off with my Movodo watch and wedding rings.

I made sure the cami matched the top so I sort of felt like I was putting in some YLF effort and hadn't fallen back to my pre-YLF ways. Which, I feel like I am doing a lot this winter.

The patterned top looks very nice on you with the black trousers. It's supposed to snow here today too, but we'll see. It seems like every time they forecast snow we don't actually get anything.

It was a mess coming into work today. We definitely got yet more of the stuff. Supposed to turn bitter cold again once the snow is done.

I don't know where we are going to put the snow....the snowbanks are already higher than car roofs, it's making crossing intersections really scary because I can't see oncoming traffic.

They have started bringing out Bobcats here to move the snow banks. They are dumping it down at the empty fairgrounds.

You look great. Sometimes simple ffbo is the way to go, especially when the weather is crappy.

Snowing here too. It's a sweatpants and ratty sweater day. Not officially a snow day but the nice thing about my lab is that nobody cares what I do with my time as long as I get work done.

I love the pattern in your sweater – so chic – what brand is it? I also enjoy the feeling of a cami under thin sweaters, it not only adds warmth but a smoothing layer that also makes sweaters "fall" or drape better and sort of glide a bit when you move. I hope these winter storms stop soon, I can't imagine living up north – I'm a hot weather lover!

We need snow! We are at 2 inches at the base of our ski resort. Most bizarre for this time of year.

I've been relying on FFBOs... Nothing wrong with easy when you are a working mom. You look great.

"It had to warm up to snow" - good grief, this is an awful winter, isn't it?! We're in the middle of a snowstorm right now (at least I got a snow day out of this one). You look very pretty - the top has a lovely pattern and both top and pants fit you perfectly.

Love that top on you, Thistle. We've had so much snow this winter our driveway keeps getting smaller because we're running out of places to put the snow.

It snowed here too but unlike a lot of you, we needed the moisture badly so it was pure pleasure. I did grow up in a very snowy environment though, and I recall that by February any snow fun had long exited. I am impressed you are still managing to look so cute. Great sweater on you - I really like the pattern.
