WIW 01.23.2014 - White trousers in winter?!?

Yep, I decided to wear them today. It is not supposed to get above 0F today, and even the slush has frozen solid. Again.

I had a necklace on with the sweater and took it off, wanting the texture of the sweater to shine. I wonder if I should have left it on for some sparkle.

White trousers are from Ralph Lauren, turtleneck and sweater from Talbots, shoes DV's from Nordies, and Movodo watch.

That is a beautiful sweater Thistle… such a rich, lovely color. I guess one of the only benefits of this frigid weather is that there is less in the wet slush department. Very clever of you to use this as an opportunity to wear white trousers!

My magpie heart says NECKLACE, but I think without suits your minimalist style better, especially since it has so much texture. Do you ever wear earrings? Anyways, this looks sooo cozy and warm and fab.

MuseumGal - I usually don't wear earrings. They either tangle in my hair, or they are dodging two year old fingers. I figure if DD pulls off a necklace (which she has never done), I just have to get it fixed. She does love to pet and hold my necklaces though . . . Magpie in training!

I think the shoes really make this outfit. Plus, I love the color of the sweater (note to self, look for a dark green top/sweater). I usually like necklaces, but in this case, the cables on the sweater probably make it unnecessary.

Thanks for reminding me that super cold usually equals dry enough for the footwear and light pants that I habitually avoid in winter.

Eliza - I pop on my work shoes for the pictures, and then I take them off and put my Sorels on for the trek into the building. Even though it is cold enough to make a polar bear cry, there is salt everywhere.
