WIW- too neutral?

I really like the look of this in the photo, but when I wore it today I felt a little "meh." Maybe it's the weather today, or it could be the color of the pants. Thoughts?

Everything is Eddie Bauer except the booties which are Munro (I think they're the only Munro shoe I've ever thought was cute) from the NAS.

I like it but I know what you mean some days we just need more.......something. Do you have any coloured booties or shoes or belts or jackets you could try?

I think it is a great neutral look. You look polished and stylish. I like caro's idea of a colored bootie or even a bright necklace. Looking good!

When I saw your title, I thought "no such thing"! Ha! This does look like an outfit I'd wear. I like how the colors of the blouse complement your hair and skin. It's a pulled-together and serene look, and it's flattering on you.
For a little oomph, I would try on a colored belt and/or a necklace with some color. Teal would be pretty, or a deep red. Or stay with the neutral theme and go with a brown belt, maybe in a caramel shade.

I love neutrals, but maybe you just needed a little somethin' somethin'. You have to dress for your happiness! PS: I have a pair of Munro booties too. Have you tired wearing yours with skirts and dresses yet? Anyway, you look lovely and there is no such thing as too neutral in my book!

@Firecracker: I had gone with a caramel belt with an interesting texture- I should learn to take better pictures! Thanks for the color suggestions- I never know what will look good with that awkward shade of brown.

@Claire: Thanks! Yes, I love the booties with skirts because it shows the cuff on them. And they break in really nicely- the cuff looks "distressed" in a good way.

Neutrals are lovely!

I'm a little concerned about the fit of those trousers. They look unintentionally droopy at the crotch point - as in not is a fashion forward way. Perhaps they just need to be pulled up?

Wow, didn't even notice that! Yes, these pants are a stretchy material that can get a little droopy by the end of the day. And now that I'm looking, they could also use an ironing. Sigh, I hate ironing.
