Dear YLF,

Yesterday I decided to try Friday's color combination. The top is try from DD 10 of getting me away from my work clothes ( I might be creating some kind of Pavlovian response in the poor child with all the navy I have been wearing).
I have to say that the outfit wasn't one I was most happy with but I enjoyed the color combination and will be repeating it in the future.

Looks great to me! I like the very modern blouse, and the buttons in the skirt. Nice little details. I think you give off a rather French vibe, especially with this hairstyle! Cute.

Thank you all for your comments. I have been around the house doing some cleaning and just got back to my laptop .
What threw me off in this outfit was the extra volume of the top that I had to tuck into the skirt because it didn't look good untucked.

I agree with above that this looks great. I know what you mean about tucking but because the skirt is so slim it really works well with a fuller top.

I think you look very pretty in that outfit! I used to have a skirt very similar (more of a khaki/gold) and found it really versatile.

That top is wow-pretty on you Celia! This soft color palette looks fab on you. I feel you on the volume thing, it's why I've started adding a couple cropped tops so I don't have to deal with tucking volume for certain outfits. Does this top normally get worn with pants?
