WIW- Thanksgiving - YouLookFab Forum

Plans for Thanksgiving got changed up at the last minute, but here's what I wore:
The brocade plants from Old Navy, denim shirt from Target, cut velvet kimono from Target, turquoise necklace from World Market, Lucky brand rings and smoking slipper shoes. I added my vintage faux curly lamb coat for warmth (not pictured).
I included a pic of what the BF wore. I found him this shawl collar cabled sweater at Target and he really likes it. Hat and jeans are also from Target, shirt from Kohl's and Converse shoes.
Bonus pic of my white out outfit from this week: Levi's jeans, Clark's boots, sweater and lace top from Target, furry vest from Belk.

Fun outfit! Those pants are fabulous, as is your necklace and kimono. The BF looks very dapper. Hope you had a nice holiday. Your white outfit is absolutely stunning. Your furry vest always makes me smile.

Those brocade pants - I so wish that they had fit me - look super cute on you! And I love the white outfit, that vest is spectacular. I've heard about Belk stores, they're down south, right? I'll have to check them out on-line.

Wish I could get my DH to wear something dapper like that sweater yours is wearing. Alas, he just throws on whatever hoodie is at the top of the pile

The first outfit is very festive, and I think it's a good choice for a holiday celebration. You look fabulous.

The second one is the kind of something that I wish I could wear, but rural living is not kind to whites and lights. Therefore, outfits like your white one make me positively green with envy. To me, they look very rich and expensive. White is very expensive to keep clean; the association in my mind is therefore somebody with a lot of money for dry-cleaning, or a life of leisure with servants to do the housework and cooking and such. It looks good on you!

Karie- I'm not sure where there are Belks. Not where I live-in I ordered this online. It just came up in a search.

Cynthia- funny story about that sweater....when I first showed it to him he said it looked very fatherly (at which point I reminded him that not only is he a father, but a grandfather). I found them on sale, so I bought one- despite his reaction to it. He usually does wear a good- oversized and with holes. He needed something nicer. When I showed it to him, he called it a grandpa sweater. Then he put it on and felt how soft and warm it was....and I showed him how much nicer it looked. He's hooked on it now lol

I've also ordered from Belk before. None near me, but the sales online seem pretty good. Usually I skip them in case I need to return, but sometimes I take a chance if I think I know the fit.

Two great looks here, I'd say! (Three, counting BF's! Nice job on your shopping help there--he presents a dapper casual look.)
I really like the brocade pants with the intricate shawl--a nicely done maximal look. And the chambray shirt is brilliant with it, for a real boho feel. Your white-out is stunning. I really like that soft-looking faux-fur vest.
