Last week was a busy one and I didn’t have a chance to take any outfit photos on the days when I “dressed” (mostly for zoom presentations). But today I’m out and about for Covid booster and a bunch of other errands.
It’s windy and chilly today so I’m breaking out the new Veronica Beard plaid toggle jacket. The colors and wonderfully fall-like! And something about the toggles reminds me of 70s style so I ran with it — bootcuts, cowboy boots, graphic tee (hidden in photo), and even a hat that I haven’t worn in a couple of years (which reminds me a little of my sister’s hippie hats in the 70s). Added fingerless gloves and my faux Bao Bao for a little bronze to go with all the warm tones.
It’s a little ALGO, and I may not wear the hat everywhere (with the mask it really may be too too much!), but i thought I’d at least give it a try.
Pic 2 - Bonus: boring weekend outfit of boyfriend jeans and a tee, but with an added bargain find topper — I found a version of my stretch military jacket in grey with a hood, and couldn’t resist it. It’s a great easy layer for casual outings that looks more polished than the usual zip hoodie. I wore this to shop for new flooring for our basement.
Pic 3 - the view outside our basement door. I got to enjoy it a lot this weekend while cleaning out the basement in preparation for the new flooring project. The basement has been really neglected for years and we are rethinking what we will do with it.
Pic 4 - a sample of the new LVT flooring that will replace all the old nasty carpeting throughout the whole basement. It’s a “wood” finish in a “greige” color I think will work nicely no matter what we do with paint and furnishings. We are selling and giving away everything in the basement, as nearly all of it was either stuff that came from our old home 16 years ago or was brought home from my parents’ home after my mom passed away. Can’t wait to transform it!
