WIW- Olive Green Shorts, White and Pewter Metal

This is what I'm wearing today to work at home. It will likely reach near 100 but tomorrow promises our first strong cold front. Yay- jeans weather!

I'll be using my off white leather satchel when I go out and about. The white bracelet is new and goes with several other beaded bracelets that I already own. Today I'm mixing it with my mixed metal set to go with the pewter belt. I wanted something to bring just a touch of white to outfits that I feel need just a little something extra to go with my handbag that I wear most often right now.

Lovely outfit. I really like what you said in another thread about using your bracelets to pick up colours in the outfit. Also, I agree about belts and hair colour; for some reason it's really a great way to pull an outfit together and my favourites all echo my hair as well.

RA - thanks, I do work at home every day so I kind of have to put effort into my work at home outfits or I'd just live in lounge wear. I do get out and about most days doing errands and stuff.

Suz - thank you. Figuring out the best belt color and shoe colors both have been important and helpful to me in my fashion journey so far. I think I realized from Aida about picking up outfit colors in jewelry as she usually features her jewelry and talks about how she chooses it.

Whenever I look at you in one of your outfits I always get a sense of a pleasing balance of tones and I'm reminded a little of driftwood, or the sea, or other natural things. It's really nice! I like the accessories you've used here and the fluid fit of your top.

This is a very relaxed and yet pulled together outfit, very suitable for your activities and weather I'm sure. I wore a similar one a lot this summer, which was the hottest we've ever had. The shorts have great color and length, and the tee is perfectly slouched. I love how the bracelet and belt add polish, so simple yet effective. Terrific.

Fantastic outfit, texstyle! Of course I had to look when I saw your title, because you described my favorite palette. The white tee--something I rarely wear-- makes the outfit look so fresh. Taking notes . . . I could try to duplicate the tones here with white jeans rather than tee, perhaps. Thanks for the inspiration!

lisap- thanks, I can't believe I almost went through summer without a pair of olive green shorts, then I found these super soft ones at AE and they are so comfortable (and affordable).

Firecracker - thank you. This is one of the few white tees I own that I feel has enough weight, without being heavy. So many feel too sheer and I can't wear a cami in our heat down here in Texas. I absolutely think you could wear the olive up top and white jeans. That would be a fun change up! In fact, I have some off white jeans that I'll have to try that with this winter as I have an olive green sweater that might work. Inspiration boomerang - Ha!
