Except that Aida did it much better. I didn't look at the pics until I got home and I think the tie should have been longer. I do like the colors though and think it will be great with the tonal skirt. I could be wrong though.

I really like the shirt. The fabric is a really nice weight and it drapes well. I got the small and it fits really well. The pants I'm wearing are frumpy looking. I bought them as fat pants and ate too much on the weekend to feel good in any of the slimmer fits. Next time.

The shirt looks fab! You can tell just from the pic that the weight and drape are lovely on it. And I think that colour will be a workhorse for you. Did you try it with your new blue suit?

I think Shannon's hubby might call this the sexy 40s schoolboy look! I actually like the drape of the pants, too. And you look tall no matter what you wear

The shirt is stunning on you Dianthus and I love this "smokey" colour palette you have going with the berry shirt, grey trousers (which do NOT look like fat pants!) and then the various shades in the scarf. Suz is right - the shirt will be gorgeous with your blue suit.

I think the pants look great! I do agree the scarf is at a bit of an odd length, ending right with the top.

Oooh nice smokey colors, and I love the scarf! I do think letting it hang longer would work a bit better (for strong, long vertical lines). I tend to leave my tops untucked when I use scarf-ties just so that the longer length meshes well proportionally.

I like these colors and the shirt drape is great. The pants look good to me and I would never call them fat pants. For one thing, they don't have an elastic waistband which is essential in my book for fat pants.

Fat pants?! Where??

I'm seeing a very sophisticated wide-leg, softly draped charcoal pair topped by this fab late-sunset-sky shirt and a pretty waterfall of a scarf. Yes, I wouldn't mind seeing the waterfall hang lower or the shirt untucked and belted over the top maybe (unless it's too long, or unbelted if its cut allows)... but those are just nice variations on the theme!

That blouse is gorgeous on you! It look so elegant with the gray flowy trousers. I would love to see the blouse unbuttoned a tad and the knot of the windsor lowered slightly to show a little of your nice neckline.
