WIW- Dog days of summer (photo heavy)

It's been hot and DD came down with mono last week. She's been miserable. Fortunately, I suppose, she's over the worst of it but she leaves for college this weekend. It's been a rough August but I'm trying to keep it together. Up a few pounds but I'm trying to just go with the flow and hang in there until the back to school rush is over. Still separating the wheat from the chaff in the closet. I loved the purple midi dress until I photographed it--JFE? Most of the others are repeats and/or high happiness outfits but suggestions for improvement are welcome.

I ordered the wrap dress in Finds the minute I saw it. It's the right green for me and the wrap style is something that I've always wanted but could never quite find. I think it's a keeper. I look goofy in the picture--sorry. Opinions welcome.

ETA: #11 is my Christy outfit and also illustrates my complicated relationship with black sandals. The Danskos have pretty much replaced all others!

What a terrible time to not feel well. I hope DD feels better before heading off to college. I like #7 best but you look so cute in everything. We have been warned to stay away from shopping and eating in Boulder this weekend as swarms of college kids and their parents will take over.

Thanks for the sympathy. Mono is a new one for us. I never knew how bad it could be. Her tonsils were so swollen and infected that they were touching her uvula. I kept waking up in the night to check on her to make sure she was still breathing. I haven't done that since she was a tot.

Glad 7 is getting love. I am enamoured with the joggers. They are SO comfy. They need a top with structure though so probably just a summer thing.
@Katerina: My complicated relationship with black shoes is that I never quite feel like I've found the perfect pair. Always looking and never satisfied!

I’d never know you had a rough month by looking at these outfits! You look fab in EVERY SINGLE ONE! I can’t pick a favorite.

The dress in #1 - put aside any thoughts of JFE, it’s WAY better than that. Those boots with the dress in #2 - LOVE! Something about #6 just makes me smile - so cute! The pants in #7 are awesome. The wrap dress is great - I wish I could wear a dress like that. *sigh* I’ll continue to admire (and be just a wee bit jealous of) the style on others. And so fun that you’re pulling out your tube skirts too! Cute! Love the long tank over the long skirt - looks effortless and chic. Flattered I could give a bit of inspiration. I can see why the Danskos are such a favorite!

I have never seen you look anything but fab no matter what the outfit. My personal faves from this set are 3,5,6,7 and 10. I have a bias towards patterns and brights but you do wear neutrals so beautifully too. The wrap is a real wow, though.

I remember having mono in college. I had to miss some classes and a week of my part time job, but I can't remember how I felt. My mom told one of her friends about it, and she said, "Oh, the kissing disease!" Just what I needed my overprotective mom to hear. I hope your daughter recovers quickly--apparently I did.

More healing vibes for DD (and her mom!). Regardless of everything you are going through, you look fantastic. I love the floral crossover top in #3, the wrap dress is excellent on you, the black and white is smashing in #9 and the rest are great also. Both sandals look great in the last outfit - but I bet I know which ones are more comfortable!

Everything is SO good. My fave is no 7. I want pants like that. But I love the new striped dress too and the purple dress is absolutely fab (personally I’d shorten it just a couple of inches).

I look through these and go, "wow", "love that" "mmm hmmm" and then I get to #9 and I am just smitten! That's my fav. You look, as ever, just amazing.
I had a terrible case of mono my soph yr of college. Here's how I knew I was really sick - I went to a Springsteen concert in Hampton VA (circa 1981) and I desperately wished he would stop coming out for encores, I was that tired! I remember saying to someone, "And I don't even want a beer" which was, like, the most outrageous thing ever! I also had strep. Lucky she was diagnosed at home, and has you through the worst of it.
