So- I bought a pair of colored pants!
They look light blue in this picture but they're a cool minty color. It's called Spring Jade or something, but whatever. And THEN, instead of pairing the pants with all neutrals, I added this red cardigan. More than one brightly colored solid in an outfit! I'm learning. I think the cream lace top and nude heels kept it from being cartoon-y, and I added a bracelet in a similar tone to the pants.
Bonus pic: I bought this vintage '70s Napier necklace at an estate sale this weekend and I'm a little obsessed with it. I'm glad Angie posted about how to wear statement necklaces. I'm pretty low on crew-neck tops, though, so still trying to figure this one out!
