WIW- Blush with neutrals Inspired by Angie (outside my comfort zone)

It's been a while since I posted a WIW. I was looking for inspiration on the YLF site and saw Angie's outfit ('blushing in winter' from feb 2013) with blush jacket, cream jumper, burberry check scarf and faded bf jeans (not ashamed to say my outfit is shamelessly ripped off from it).

I had been considering getting rid of this jacket as I was finding it tricky to style. I was concerned about it making me look ill with my pale colouring. However I had my hair coloured in a slightly plummy shade a week ago and feel this colour is working better for me. I didn't have a chunky cream jumper so substituted this crochet type one.

What do you think?

I love blush and I love this look!! I particularly like the textured top with the scarf and the blush jacket.... Oh, it just works! The scarf wrapped around the neck is cosy and chic!!

Don't get rid of this jacket!

I looooove how you used the unexpected tartan scarf. I would never have thought to do that but somehow its the detail that makes it for me. That jacket is just a neutral: try not to think of it as "pink". The outfit is great. WHAT is that belt? I can't get close enough to see the pattern, but it looks so interesting. Where did you get it?

I think as a variation, you could swap out the booties and bag for something darker (keeping the scarf up top).

Thanks all for all the lovely comments. I had been in a bit of a style rut and wanted to reinvent some of the clothes I already had into new outfits. But I also wanted to keep my own sense of style incorporating colour, pattern and texture.
Karymk - the belt is an old fave from Ed Hardy (I've attached a close up pic). Its a tattoo print of skull, roses etc but in the softest of colours - dusky pink, purples, soft red). Thought it went well with the soft colours I wore today.

Gorgeous jacket, and you nailed styling it. I hope you keep it. If you feel the color washes you out, just make sure the top you layer with it, is a color that brightens your face.
